Congratulations on Your Engagement!
Getting engaged is such an exciting time - congrats to both of you! As the initial excitement settles, you’ll soon start thinking about your engagement photos. Engagement sessions are a perfect way to capture the joy of this special moment, and they’ve become incredibly popular with newly engaged couples. But the best engagement photos come when you make them personal and fun—letting your personalities shine through.
Why Engagement Photos Matter
Engagement photos are more than just a fun shoot—they capture the essence of your relationship and create memories to share with your friends, family, and future generations. Children love looking back on these images, seeing their parents' early love and joy. Plus, if you’re serious about having amazing wedding photos, an engagement session is a fantastic way to get comfortable in front of the camera. It helps ease any nervousness, so you’ll look and feel natural when the big day arrives.

Design & Portrait Consultations
Before your session, we offer a complimentary consultation over the phone, email, or Skype. We’ll help you select the perfect location, discuss outfit ideas, and shape your vision for the shoot. What story do you want to tell through your engagement photos? We’re here to answer all your questions and help bring that vision to life.
Choosing the Right Location
Pick a location that holds meaning for both of you, whether it’s the spot where you got engaged, where you first met, or even your favorite coffee shop. The more personal the location, the more meaningful and unique your photos will be.
Photo Style & Wardrobe
Your wardrobe sets the tone for your engagement photos, so it’s important to choose outfits that reflect your personality and the style of photography you want—whether it’s romantic, casual, candid, or formal. Most couples opt for semi-casual attire to create a nice contrast with the more formal wedding photos. Be sure to bring at least two to three different outfits for variety, and we’ll help you decide what works best during the shoot.
Coordinating Colors
Coordinate your colors without matching too closely. Complementary tones look great in photos, while bold patterns or single-color outfits can distract from the overall composition. The goal is to create a cohesive look that highlights your connection, not your clothing.
Accessories
Less is more when it comes to accessories. Simple, elegant jewelry or a classic watch will photograph beautifully, while too many bold accessories can overwhelm the picture.
Props & Footwear
Props are a great way to showcase your personality, but keep it minimal to maintain focus on you as a couple. And for footwear? Ladies, don’t be afraid to bring standout shoes—something fun and eye-catching that adds a pop of color!
